10/4/2023 0 Comments Fallout 4 rainmeterRAM itself is much faster than even the fastest storage systems currently available. Than moving it to the faster drive is in order but still using system managed size is advisable.īut to sum it up, the swap file is there to help increase system preformance. Only real exception being is IF a faster drive than C: is available, Its best to leave it set to system managed size. The swap file is virtual memory (RAM) and set up/managed via windows. Only thing you can really do is add more ram/lower settings and/or stop using the texture pack. I will be thankful for any help I could get for this guys!įO4 can be a system hog expecially when using the HR texture pack with ultra settings. To sum it up- the game is playable, but I can clearly notice performance differences and SWAP and RAM usage has gone a bit insane. Searching the web about it has given me nothing useful either. I am however entirely sure that the loading time has been increased, and despite trying various simpler solutions like deleting old save files and lowering the graphics the problem doesn't seem to go away. The effects of this is the loading time in-game, and perhaps the overall performance that the computer can offer. I am sure this wasn't any issue I've ever had before, and am therefor now concerned. While running other games and programs though, whether they are on Steam or not, the SWAP and RAM aren't affected and lay calmly around 30%. The RAM usage is rated high as well, usually around 50-60%. The percentage is usually around 70%, but has reached as high as 85%. Go outside, get some fresh air, and have a good day.I was just wondering if I could get some help with my issue of having a high so called SWAP (seen with the help of Rainmeter) when running Fallout 4 especially.
